Do you want personalized midwifery prenatal and postpartum care, but don’t feel comfortable having a baby out side of the hospital? Choose this option.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal care is where it is at! It is an essential part of building a trusting relationship between you and your midwife.
During your pregnancy, you will actively participate in 12-14 prenatal visits (or more if needed). You and your baby will be monitored during each hour-long visit, and we will have plenty of time to discuss all your questions. You will also have email, text, and mobile phone access to your midwife 24/7 for questions and emergencies. Labs and blood tests are drawn by me at my office when needed.
Birth Care
When you go into labor and are ready to have your midwife come to your home, I will come with my team: another licensed midwife and an assistant certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. We provide a birth tub if you desire to labor or birth in the water. We will set up our supplies: supplies to monitor your birth and baby as well as emergency equipment. We also bring our patient hands and loving support. Occasionally, transfer to hospital is needed to ensure safety of you and your baby. In this situation, your midwife will accompany you and stay by your side to support you and answer questions, as well as advocate for your birth desires.
We stay at your home for at least three hours after the birth to monitor you and your baby. During this time we clean up any messes. We will keep a close eye on you and your baby.
Postpartum Care
24 hours after your baby is born, I will come back to your home to provide newborn screening and assessment of both you and your baby. I will also return for a three-day visit; a one-week visit; a three-week visit; and a six-week visit. More visits are included in your price if needed. Postpartum care includes breastfeeding support.

12-14 personalized prenatal visits, up to an hour long (or more if needed)
Birth tub for water birth, including free liner (valued at $45)
Full birth support and monitoring by two licensed midwives at your home, including supporting you in hospital if transfer is needed, a 3rd assistant attends whenever possible
Newborn screening, including hearing screen, Critical Congenital Heart Defect (CCHD) screening, and metabolic newborn screening
4-5 postpartum visits covering everything from physical health, emotional support, breastfeeding, and baby care (or more if needed)

Northern Glow limits monthly clients to have the time to cater the care to your needs.
Total Price - $5500
This price of $5,500 is a discount if paid in full before your birth. I offer significantly reduced fees if your life circumstances make it hard for you to pay the full cost of care. Please call for a consultation to discuss. Insurance companies will sometimes reimburse care after care has taken place. I am happy to provide you with necessary documentation for you to pursue coverage from your insurance company, but cannot guarantee reimbursement.
